prevention
We are following CDC guidelines of distancing ourselves from other people. We do not leave the farm unless absolutely necessary. Our only care source providers are my parents, as they live on our farm as well.
gloves on, few hands
Before harvesting we wash our hands thoroughly with soap and water. When harvesting our produce, we are wearing disposable gloves, and we put on new ones if our work is interrupted with anything else. Another huge advantage for safety over grocery store chains is that Justin and Becky are the only people that handle the produce. Countless hands touch produce that reaches the grocery store from planting to harvest to packaging to storing; at our farm, it’s just us.
rinse with cleaning solution
From the field, we bring our produce directly into our packshed for cleaning. We rinse produce with Tsunami 100, an antimicrobial water additive that kills pathogens. We use new disposable gloves in the rinsing process. For greens, we spin and then bag per your order. Your items will be labeled in separate bags and stored in our cooler room until the following morning, then delivered to the Drive Thru Market at Worthington.
Rest assured, we are doing everything in our power to deliver your food in the safest manner possible.
